Mary Travers of Peter Paul & Mary has leukemia

Mary Travers, 67, is undergoing chemotherapy for leukemia http://www.cnn.com/2004/SHOWBIZ/Music/12/07/people.marytravers.ap/index.html.

I was lucky to meet her (and PEter & Paul, too) back in 1984, when I voluntered for the Mondale campaign while a student in Boston. They eprformed at a rally and I got to sit on stage with them, Ed Asner & some others.

They were very nice. I'm sure we all join in wishing her a speedy recovery.

They were on PBS a couple of months ago and I remmebered how much I love their music. Aren't they on tour this year?
