There was one statement that he made that was an abosolute outrage to me but I want to be sure I heard him correctly. The statement had something to do with victory not a banner on the deck of tanker...or something like that.

3. Thanks,
"Today's war on terror will not end with a ceremony, a surrender ceremony on a deck of a battleship. But it will end with victory. (Applause.) Just as we defeated the threats of fascism and imperial communism in the 20th century, we will defeat the threat of global terrorism. And we will help the people of liberated countries to rebuild and to secure a future of freedom and peace"

This SOB, Bush, has the nerve to conjer up visions of claiming victory on the deck of a battleship! This outrages me. After his stunt with "Mission Accomplished" he is just a brazen arrogant MF to invoke a statement like this (I know he was referring to WWII, but I think he has nerve to even go near a statement like this.)

2. How bout THIS line (another Freudian slip)--
"In the war on terror, you have fought enemies' freedom -- freedom's enemies from the caves and mountains of Afghanistan to the deserts and cities of Iraq."

5. "enemies' freedom"--our enemies aren't supposed to have it.
So, I guess, you would be right. He could make the rationale that anyone who disagrees with him--even and maybe especially in USA--is his enemy, so they shouldn't have freedom, and he'll just have to take it away.
