Throughout these last 5(?) weeks, I have posted a bunch and observed a lot, lot more. I, like so very many of you, have felt that there was the smell of putrifaction and decay in the State of Denmark. Not to mention Ohio. I want to see someone shake some action too.
There is a difference, however. Perhaps it is just an artifact of aging. Perhaps my long relationship with martial arts. Perhaps it's a sign of early-onset dementia. Who knows? But I have been glad to see some signs of strategy and tactics.
Yeah, I have dived into some pretty ugly situations in my day, especially when I was bouncing or dealing with crowd control at concerts. Got my ribs broken once for the effort. But everytime I did so, it was because that my entrance into the fray was objectively RIGHT, at the time. The time I got my ribs broken, 5 guys were wailing on one guy. Oh, I stopped them, by the way. You just gotta know how to do it.
You also gotta know how to heal. ;-)
Kerry could have started flailing on Nov. 3rd and who knows, he might have made something good happen. But I sincerely doubt it. It would have just made the whole thing into a geek show, with blood and chicken feathers and chicken manure and puking rubes everywhere.
But he didn't. He laid back. He uses strategy. And, it kinda looks like, he relied on his supporters. Us. You and me. We. He knew WE had his back, and we came through.
Now, it's his turn to enter the fray. In HIS time, not ours. Not the repukes. Not the reporters. When it is objectively right for him to wade in, take some licks and return in kind and better.
Tactics. Strategy. Watch and learn.
