Tenet calls for Internet security - limiting access...
Edited on Tue Dec-07-04 08:40 PM by Fescue4u
Sounds reasonable right?

Get this..

" The way the Internet was built might be part of the problem, he said. Its open architecture allows Web surfing, but that openness makes the system vulnerable, Mr. Tenet said.

"Access to networks like the World Wide Web might need to be limited to those who can show they take security seriously, he said."

First we license Guns, then we License Free speech (aka Internet)

8. Lets hope nothing.
But thats just hope.

Im involved heavily in Internet security and there is a growing mood amongst regulators that they must "fix" the security issues around the Internet.

Its said that we are only one major outage away from regulating the Internet.

The problem is that when the regulation starts, the facist get out their wish list and foist it on the public as for "security". For a good example of this see the Patriot act.
