Racist Threats Aimed at Cincinnati's Freedom Center
Obviously another voter for those "moral values"...

Threatening e-mails sent to freedom center

By Jennifer Edwards
Enquirer staff writer

DOWNTOWN - Cincinnati police are investigating racist and threatening e-mails sent to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.

The first e-mail was sent Nov. 2 and the latest one arrived today, a police incident report shows.

A police spokesman, Lt. Kurt Byrd, declined to elaborate on the content of the e-mails.

But in response, police will keep extra watch over the $10 million center that opened Aug. 23, Byrd said today.

"They are not very flattering and they were sent in a harassing way," he said. "It's very early in the investigation and we are going to see where it leads.

"Some could be construed as threatening. There is not any specific threat. But, naturally, we'll keep an eye on it and focus some additional attention in that direction," he added.

The center is a learning museum and research lab dedicated to telling the stories of people who have fought for freedom throughout history.

Much more...
