GPS lets law’s long arm grow

By DEEDEE CORRELL - THE GAZETTE

Greg Bendon has a new job title: Big Brother. All day, every day.

He follows his people everywhere, recording each step they take, timing how long they linger in places they’re not supposed to be.

“We’re tracking you every single minute. Big Brother is watching you,” said Bendon, who works for ComCor Inc., a nonprofit group that offers programs to rehabilitate criminals.

ComCor recently introduced technology that allows it to peer via satellite into a criminal’s life.

3. What is even creepier friend,
Is that millions nationwide allow themselves to have their every move potentially tracked all day and all night. It is called a cell phone, and with the Clinton signed law in '98, every single new cell phone has a GPS locator chip. The phone doesn't have to be on for you to be monitored.

And this is all done by people voluntarily, because they simply can't get along without their cell phones:eyes:

I'm never getting one of those damn things. Don't need one, don't want one, and if people want to get ahold of me, call my number and leave a message, I'll get back to you. I will never understand this infernal need for people to be connected at all times, babbling useless BS at other equally vapid people.
