Can we all take a moment and be thankful for C-SPAN?
Sincerely, it is a wonderful thing for (some of) the process of government to be open to the public. The Conyers hearing on Ohio, a moment when the government is being self-critical, listening to citizen testimony, and at least attempting to be interested in fundamental change, is a part of my life that I do not take for granted.

It could be better, for sure, but in many ways it's still a great country - and sometimes it takes basic cable to remind me :).

I'll be sending C-SPAN an email thanking them for their coverage today.

3. Here is the email address, to make it easier for DUers to thank them:
We all should thank them!

And you're right, this is democracy in action!

Note that I think there may be an FCC threat to C-Span coverage on cable. I will read further on their site and create a new post. Please watch for it!

5. FCC threat I referred to earlier does not appear to be immediate.
Here is a link to info on C-Span site, for anyone interested. It appears to be a technical issue regarding bandwidth given to broadcasters. Here is the link, for anyone wanting to follow up:

6. Here's what I sent them
A big THANK YOU for your coverage of the Conyers hearing

'At least one media group in this country has the guts and the integrity to report on something so important, even if it goes against the trend of reporting gossip as 'news'. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Regardless of the outcome of the election, it is imperative that our voting system be overhauled and the issues corrected, if we are going to have a democracy in this country. There are many of us out here anxiously watching and waiting
and writing and doing what we can to address these issues, and having a way to watch the actual proceedings is terrific!

-Lindsay Morahn'

Got a standard 'value your feedback, cannot reply individually' email. At least it got there!
