Is KFC cannibalism? Human and Chicken share 1/2 of genes

The recently deciphered chicken genome should prove a valuable tool for learning about the human version, researchers say in their first detailed analysis of it. (AP Graphic)

1. Is KFC cannibalism?
No, but that still doesn't mean you should eat there!

16. Hmm...
I dunno. I don't frequent those restaurants. But that's only because I live in San Francisco and have many other choices.

3. So is vegetarianism cannibalism?
Humans share quite a few genes with plants, too. What's the cutoff point? 30% of genes? 20%? 10%? 5%?

4. We share plenty of our genes with plants and bacteria too.
I'd like to see Creationists explain THAT away.

6. How many genes do we share with Republicans?
Would it be cannibalism to eat one of them? Or would it just be perversion?

7. Just about every gene in Ecoli
is found in every other organism. It's genetic rationing... if the genes works, why bother evolving 'new' genes for the same function. All in all, genes are quite well conserved.

12. Dammit.
Don't ruin chicken for me. I'm under doctor's orders to reduce my fat intake. Since I'm not a big fish eater, I eat lots of poultry. I shop at the organic market, only buy the "happy" chickens... can't we just leave it at that?

17. There is only so many ways to do the same thing
For the most part genes regulate the body's chemistry, fish, chicken, banana, human are all bags of the same chemical reactions its not surprising that the regulating mechanisms are going to be the same.

18. Eating at KFC makes you stupid.
Has anyone seen that latest commercial where there is a bucket of 'chicken' on the table and they're all complaining they wanted a different style of chicken, so the mother turns the bucket around and they're happy?

K a few problems here.

1) They're dumb. Does Kentucky Fried Chicken make them dumb? They can't figure out to reach across the bucket for what they like? This is something a one year old child could do.

2) What is the mother going to eat? She's standing there, I think she might even be wearing an apron. Why? She just bought from KFC.

A more accurate commercial would show a rushed mother with KFC in one hand, bags or a child in the other hand, disshelved with kids running around screaming. Her dumb as a post husband saying 'Whats for dinner?' with her shoving the KFC bag in his hand, and him looking disapointed. "Kentucky Fried Chicken?"...She stops and gives him an evil stare "I don't have the energy to cook tonight, and it was the only place open."

19. Yes-Yes- and nothing she can't gain wait or he will leave her
and liveout his "Desperate Housewifes" fantasy.

I thought the same thing about that commercial. The worst part is that no one in the whole family, save for Mom, can figure it out.

Sitting around the table waiting for the take-out to get there? No more like Mom sets it on the counter and the bucket is ripped apart like wolves and everyone goes to seperate rooms to "do their own thing".
