Still, things will not be clear for the people who voted for the Chimperor. There will always be some Rovian ploy to make crackdowns, etc. look "reasonable." We'll point and say, "Look, he's doing it again" but the bushbots would notice. They'll blame the Dems at the end.

Over the last few decades the entire nation, its laws, its resources, and infrastructures have been streamlined almost exclusively to benefit the BOTTOM LINE of a privileged group of people, owners of a handful of mega-corporations.
Everything else has become secondary to this. Everything! And that includes democracy itself.
