Who is feeling confident after the hearings on Ohio Fraud who is not? |
|
Myself: my head is still spinning. I will be honest and could not listen to all of it but what I did hear it sounded like it was or will end up being more bark than bite.

or unless the party controlling our government gets on board.

9. I think "the public" has to take responsibility |

and accept the fact that it is not about a candidate or a party - but that it is about our rights as citizens that we are able to vote.

10. No disagreement with that. |

I think we've already seen thus far that any progress is going to be as the result of hard work from the trenches.

2. If the promised lawsuits |
|
are filed......
there will be at least a certain amount of "Political Halitosis" which could move things along. The probable success of the lawsuits isn't really important, it's just that they get filed and embarrass the Repubs into joining in.

3. It depends if the media reports it |
|
Which they are not so far. Olbermann will, but he'll probably be the only one, as usual.
It should be the biggest story of the century. I know if I was in media, I'd be screaming at the boss and sending out company wide emails. Of course I'd probably be fired post haste.

6. Unlike the recount in Florida, this one is about Fraud (state issue) and |
|
voter suppression and intimidation (federal beef.) It has a shelf life longer than a recount. If we don't give up.
The longer the media drag their heels and begin reporting only after kicking and screaming, the more it will look like Cover Up. Even Refundicans are conspiracy minded.
That's what happened with Watergate.

Watergate happened in June. Nixon was elected by a huge majority. People didn't believe Nixon was a crook (I still don't understand that). If we don't give up, something good can come of this. If we just fold and go away, we may deserve what we get.

But with the Rethugs maintaining the attitude of ignorance - it'll be difficult.

5. There is a more incremental... |
|
And less immediately satisfying effect: The gradual loss of credibility, as these things come to light.
No one ever said that it would be easy, neat or comfortable. We need to put aside our desires for instant gratification, in this and many other things. Now is not the time for such urges.

7. The committee who were part of the hearing have no legal or |

8. It made me think we should do more protesting and such |
|
I think the lawsuits are the only way to change things - but I think it would be good to see more of a presence out there of people who do not accept the voting system as it is.

PARTICIPATE IN IT ALL.
It doesn't take mass organisation to start putting up flyers. Download them or create your own. Get the word out, whatever the cost.

14. I found the hearing very important and powerful... |
|
there was an excitement in the room that intensified and the hearing lasted about an hour longer than planned, I believe.
Yet, as I checked out other news programs and saw no mention of this historic moment, I thought of Ukraine, of people taking to the streets and not going home until their concerns were addressed.
We have to FORCE the MSM to report on this threat to our democracy.

I'm finding that I'm listening to more of my 60's music, like Moody Blues, and feeling like trying to take to the streets.

the hearings are ignoring the foundation of problem which isn’t the people who commit the fraud, but the technology that allows it. As a programmer myself me thinks whoever designed the software and data structure that compiles the ballots should be laughed out of the industry.. the first time I cracked open the cheesy access db I almost fell over laughing which soon changed my mood to disgust when realizing how important this application is. Seriously, it looks like something from the 50s… hmmmm
