Sending B-day greetings to John Kerry

I started this in the John Kerry group, but thought I would shout out to those Kerry supporters who might not have joined that group yet, and might be interested in my little project.

In the next couple of days, I'm going to be creating a birthday card for Sen. Kerry, whose birthday is Dec. 11. If you would like a greeting included, post it here please. I will print them out and send them to his Senate office.

I want to get this in the mail by Friday if I can.

I think it's lovely if you want to send him a card, but I don't feel a need to do so.
I don't see any evidence that he has fought for anything but what he perceives as his own political prospects. The campaign pulled out of Florida on Nov. 3 and has refused to pursue any of the voter disenfranchisement complaints. I'm glad he finally decided to join the Ohio lawsuit, but it's been a long time in coming and he's taken a very low profile. I volunteered many, many hours for the Kerry campaign and I feel a bit betrayed.
If you have evidence to the contrary, I would be interested in hearing it. But if you don't feel it's important enough to share that information, I and others who feel similarly--of which there are many--won't be changing our minds.

Aren't there enough of those without turning this one into one more. My answer was borne more out of weariness than anything else.

Is Kerry's name a red flag or something? Must any thread in which it appears become a "Why didn't he fight for us?" thread?

I respect your choice not to send him a card. Duly noted. But if you don't mind, fraud debate is not what this thread is here for.

Saving us isn't a requirement of wishing someone a happy birthday. Being born is.

I'm not waiting for him to save us. We're more likely to save ourselves. As it should be.

But I will continue to have his back. No fair weather supporter am I. I believed in him during the campaign, and have seen nothing to change that yet.
