13. Careful, they have a point about your "Planned Parenthood" analogy
"Syria supports terrorists/guerillas in Iraq" is not in the same league of disbelievability as "Bush supports Planned Parenthood". Don't get cornered on that; instead, make them defend the credibility of the sources they assume they have.

Instead, point out all the liars they believed in the run-up to the war. Talk up how the conservative media misled them with bullshit from "Curveball" Chalabi, how Colin Powell disgraced himself at the UN, how Bush himself baldly lied to Americans on our TV screens, and how little credibility the USA has in the eyes of the rest of the world.

Myself, I tend to agree with the guy who says he wouldn't be a bit surprised if Syria was supporting Iraqi insurgents to some degree, as they're currently the main logistical factor preventing America from invading Syria. How the support would most likely manifest, I don't know. I could see Syria just relaxing its border enforcement and carefully subsidizing black market small arms traffickers through a multiple-layer laundering operation. Hell, it's what I'd do if I were al-Assad.
