about Rummy and the troops
two things struck me regarding Rummy's appearance before the troops yesterday

1. that a question "critical" of how the war was being mis-managed was asked

2. that the question was actually reported in main stream media

are we seeing a shift in reporting? we've been fooled before in thinking the lapdogs of the media grew some teeth...so I'll wait and see and expect some of the participants will be duly whacked on the nose with a newspaper

so what is expected in the 'future' regarding Rummy-bush* and troop rallies/photo ops?

a few probabilities:

a) No questions will be allowed at all except for questions like "what is your favorite color"
b) Troops must stand and applaud and "ooo-rah" on command
c) Anyone "questioning" the "wisdom" of bush* inc. will be severly punished
d) tightly scripted and controlled rallies/photo-ops only
e) Wilson, the soldier who asked the question -- will be discredited on Sunday talking head shows if bush* inc. are unable to squash the story before the weekend

1. Wonder why the soldiers didn't ask--
--gee, ya suppose if mercenaries didn't get paid 30 times what we get paid, we could afford armor?

3. God Bless that solider for having the balls to confront the evil empire.
If he is slandered or f'ed with in anyway we should nail the bastard's doing it. Rummy's answer was laughable ......transport the unprotected Humvee's on unprotected freight trucks... Another brilliant move from the inner circle of the tri fecta running the country into the ground, Rummy, Cheney and to a lesser extent their errand boy Dubya.
After watching him with this MAN date, which I really think he hates saying cause it links him to the Homo's. Man Dates? Anyway he is so lost, he is so uninformed, and so stupid. I only expect the mindless rambling speeches to get worse anymore. Wake up America and realize ya f'ed up by giving these goons 4 more years to kill us all! They have a plan for it I'm sure of it!!!!!

4 More years to destroy ever man women girl and boy and to bring the Constitution's framers to tears. We nee a massive impeachment movement for waging illegal and immoral war. They got The Big Man for getting his knob shined these fools are killing people for their pleasure.

The kids on 60 minutes tonight who fled to Canada are the hero's here. We should start some kind of defense fund for them! The anti war movement has got to grow and FAST! They are sending little old ladies and Grandpas to fight now! When will enough be enough to the American people?

5. I sure worry about those who spoke up today!
The retaliation could be terrible. I'm sure the military won't dare to do anything right away because of the obvious reaction they would get. Wait a while though, and I expect it won't be pleasant for them or their friends or family. Michael Moore's website has a story about a National Guard Sgt. from California who attempted to launch an investigation into abuse of detainees in Iraq in June 2003. It was predictable, I guess, that there would be swift retaliation and coverups, but these people are unbelievable.

6. The majority of the Amerikan masses...
will quietly go along with the Iraq war for about another two years. After the bogus Iraq election where the U.S. Puppets will win the Military will be defending the new Iraq Democracy. Any opposition to that will be considered treasonous and only terrorists will object to the new Democracy. All Iraq cities will turn into Falloujas, ghetos where the inhabitants will be prisoners.

8. * is used to represent bush because of the 2000 election,
there will always be an asterisk next to his name in the history books due to his winning the electoral collage but not the popular vote.

Thats my understanding of it.
