I KNEW there was some media elitist behind those soldiers applauding another soldier asking Rumsfeld why they have to scavenge body armor from the garbage.

He forced them to applaud? What I read from Drudge (and who knows if that supposed email is valid) is that he just had them ask and was sure that the guy in charge of the mic picked them. I don't see any harm in that. Good for him and good for the soldiers

Poor Rush I listened for fifteen seconds and he said all I needed to know. First, Rush couldn't comment on this news topic yesterday and now that Drudge has the put up cover he can now tell the "real" story.

Another problem for Cons with this angle is that media can make a soldier ask tough questions. Therefore these intellectually incurious soldiers are the Best trained/equipped force on earth, yet can justifiably make a fool of their incompetent superiors.
