Poll question: What do you expect turnout to be in the upcoming Iraqi 'election'?
Edited on Thu Dec-09-04 03:08 PM by da_chimperor
Debates on the legitimacy or lack thereof of the elections and candidates aside, what percentage of registered Iraqis do you think will brave death by bombs and gunfire to vote?

Edit: This is for the actual percentage, assuming the authorities fudge the numbers.

3. I was going to say 102%

But, in reality I think it will be close to 70%. Lots of people will come because it's hard not to want to take part in the process of your country, especially in such times, but many will figure the conclusion forgone, and stay home.

5. I said 20-30%, but Bush and Friends will extend the voting period...
as long as possible to inflate the percentages. I already saw the other day that they were thinking of having a twenty day window to vote.
