"Moderate" republicans vs right wing nut jobs....a story |
|
I work in the welfare office in a red state. You wouldn't believe me if I told you where I lived, but it's true, our Governors have been pretty moderate, at least about, welfare here.
The Cato Institute gave my state an "F" in some report on welfare reform and the republicans in charge are not happy. Apparently the Cato report complains that we're not punitive enough. There are these emails flying around from the PR people and high up republicans trying to diss the Cato Institute "in so many word". It's pretty funny.
I'm thinking the Cato Institute should pick it's battles more carefully.
