My Congressman will be on Lou Dobbs tonight

at 6:00 Eastern. Rep Gene Taylor (D), Mississippi, a military veteran, a supporter of veterans and not shy about crossing swords with conservatives. He talks the values game (a requirement for those seeking public office in this bastion of christian hypocrisy) but he's a good man. He'll be chatting about how well the Pentagon is doing supporting our kids in Iraq. For entertainment purposes Istook will also be on with Dobbs tonight.

2. The Southern tier

Coast counties, Jackson, Harrison, Hancock and the next couple of levels. He lives in Bay St Louis. I live in Pearl River County which borders Louisiana. Gene is not the perfect Democrat for me but he is Nirvana compared to what most locals would vote into office. And, he answers constituents inquiries in a timely manner. I'm happy to have him. And a hearty hello to Northern Mississippi

3. Representative

I live near Jackson; Bennie Thompson is my rep. I get an update on votes in Congress and Bennie usually votes right. I've seen Gene Taylor in hearings; he seems okay. I hope he holds on as Bennie did this last election. With all the right-wing-Christocrat-rednecks around here, I was somewhat worried.
