So now it's Senators Kennedy and Kerry who are to blame for
the Troops not having armor for their Hummers? According to an AOHell message board, the two aforementioned US Senators are to blame for the Troops not having the right equipment to do their jobs because they voted against the bill that would fund the Troops!? The ignorance of the repuke base never fails to amaze me. Oh and Clinton was also blamed. :wow:

4. Yeah!
Oh, no, I get it -- their initial votes against delayed passage of the entire bill for so long and THAT's why they don't have their armored Humvees. For "self-reliant" Repukes, these people sure have a hard time TAKING RESPONSIBIITY for anything!

18. How do they explain what's been happening since then
Why were the troops sent in without this stuff in the first place? Where has the $87 billion gone too since the vote? Why aren't the factories who make this stuff operating at capacity?

And it's often the Repubs who talk about personal responsibility.

5. The military was sent into battle a YEAR and a HALF before that bill
was voted on. The bill passed. Kerry voted for the version of the bill that detailed HOW it would be PAID FOR and how the money would be accounted for by those spending the money.

13. They really don't!
Doesn't matter that the $87 billion funding bill dollar passed and apparently isn't being used for the Troops to do their jobs, it only matters that some Dem Leaders voted against it. They don't know the reasons for the Dems voting against the bill to begin with and that bu$h threaten to veto the bill if he didn't get all he wanted, and I am guessing they wouldn't care. In the meantime, the Troops are dying because they do not have the right equipment to do their jobs and not one of their Leaders are spending the monies needed to insure that doesn't happen.

11. Bush Tax Cut
I heard a former marine on Randi Rhodes last night do just about the same thing. He did not blame Kennedy or Kerry, but he did blame Clinton. He claimed that Clinton balanced the budget on the backs of the military. This completely false.

Neither Clinton, Kennedy, or Kerry are to blame for the troops not having enough equipment. First, there are many people including some former military leaders who say the defense budget is completely bloated. In the book Take the Rich Off Welfare the claim is made that the Defense budget can be reduced to $150 billion. Second, Bush was in charge of the military for three years before he sent the troops into Iraq. He could have made sure that the troops had what they needed to go to this war. People need to remember that it was Bush and Rumfield that claimed that this war could be conducted on the cheap. Furthermore, they refused to listen to anyone who claimed the could not be done on the cheap. Thirdly, it is Bush's tax cuts that are to blame for the shortages in troop supply. It was Bush that pushed for tax cuts three years in a row instead of spending money to supply troops with armored humvees and body armor. Finally, there are reports that the factories that produce the armor are running at half production rates and have not received orders from the Bush administration. So it is most definitly not the fault of Clinton, Kennedy, or Kerry that the troops do not have the supplies they need. It is Bush's fault.

And the Hummer company said the Pentagon never asked them to step up production.

And the company who armors already made ones said the Pentagon never asked them to step up production either.

But the sheep will blame Ted Kennedy and John Kerry as if they are the running the pentagon or they are the Commander in Chief.

These people never take responsibility for anything.

17. RW America: Nothing is our fault
Your car breaks down? Blame the Clenis.

Your gas prices go up? Blame Ted Kennedy.

Your cake falls? John Kerry.

Nothing is ever the RW's fault. They love a good scapegoat, even if said scapegoat is so weak and powerless that it cannot possibly be responsible.

19. What the hell is it with these people and Clinton
anyway? The other day I was having a discussion regarding Bush's debate "bulge" with a repuke who swore up and down the chimp isn't wired. I later e-mailed him the CNN clip from the D-Day remembrance in France where a voice is heard feeding chimpy his lines. The guy's response: "Wonder who fed Clinton his lines?" My response: "No one. The man is a Rhodes Scholar not a moronic, dumbass chimpanzee like your guy."

Why do these rightwingers have an obsessive need to vilify Clinton at every opportunity? It's disgusting.

21. Conservatives told me that if I voted for Kerry...
That our troops would not be properly equipped,
Morale would sink to an all time low,
and dissention would surface in the ranks.

Guess they were right.
