tide appears to be turning
the issue of armor is being investigated rather well. this administration's double speak being challenged and the lies do fly, but they are being swatted from the left and the right.

1. The Freeptoids can't deny they are liars anymore.
If they do, they have to imply that the manufacturers of armored vehicles are liars, the soldiers are liars, etc.

And lying is only the beginning of their sins. Rummy, et al have been planning this war since 9-01, and went into Iraq when they wanted to, not when they needed to. They could have waited until the soldiers had what they needed, but it wasn't important enough to them. Milking the cash cow for the corporations was a higher priority, as was creating a Bush* "victory" in time for the campaign.

6. Wanna' bet
freepers already blaming Kerry and Kennedy because they voted against the original 87 million increase. I'm sure Clinton will get his blame also for not increasing the DoD budget in the late 90s.

15. But the $87 billion passed.
And Kerry and Edwards knew it'd pass when they voted. Even if the freepers are too stupid to understand how Congress works, surely they realize that money and MORE has long been available.

How stupid ARE they?

Don't answer that.

8. PNAC
This war was planned quite a bit earlier than 9/11. 9/11 was merely the needed catalyst.

2. So many times I've thought the tide was turning ...
and I just got my heart broke.

Maybe it is. We'll see. Meanwhile, we continue the fight.

4. The whole thing is an example of how pathetic the US media is.
Like they didn't know this was a problem and are only now talking about it because a soldier brought it up? They are a disgrace.

5. Sorry to be your Bubble Burster.....
THIS STORY MEANS NOTHING. It will die the way they all do.

No national media covers these types of stories...they are back burners...especially if they are to do with the way the war is being handled.

No tide is turning. Until Rove says so...that will be at an undisclosed date where Smirk's domestic ratings are really low. Then he might go on another mission accomplished spree and abuse the troops some more.

9. Yeah, I guess I have moments of hopeless optimism.
My thought was that the Army pretty much had a blank check to get what they needed, all they had to do was ask for it.

I guess it wouldn't have mattered if Bush* had a whole decade and still didn't get the equipment; the Freeptards still would have blamed Clinton.

10. I think that the tide is turning because I no longer feel that
I have to prove that things are going badly over there - it is up to the supporters of all of this, at this point, to prove to ME that things are NOT going badly.

11. If the big lies that led to invading Iraq didn't matter, this issue will
disappear in three more days.

12. the trouble is...
the 'military armor crisis' overshadows the fact that this war is illegal, immoral and ultimately self-defeating...

plus the truth about the indiscriminate slaughter of civilians in Fallujah and elsewhere gets completely buried...

13. Thanks for the chuckle!
No offense, but this is naive optimism--or the triumph of hope over experience.

The tide won't turn until the Chimperor's actions directly and adversely affect a majority. Nothing else will move the sheeple--it's got to affect them personally.

16. This is how we catch them, in a double lie...
If they say yes, they are lying, if they say no, they are lying. that's the trick to catch them in more lies like this.
