No to the death penalty

[question everything]

We were in NYC when Scott Peterson was found guilty. Someone from the hotel went in search of a "newspaper" and it clearly was not the NYT. The whole page was covered with big black letters: Fry Him.

Killing him will not bring Lacy Peterson back, will not deter others from similar crimes and, as research demonstrated, will not give a closure - whatever this means - to Lacy's family.

It may satisfy a sense of revenge, except that our penal code is not in place to meet such a need.

let's execute white-collar criminals first. Let's see if it truly is a deterrant.
