What is the story with Jeff Fisher from Florida? |
|
Edited on Sat Dec-11-04 01:29 AM by Pachamama
I confess not having done much research, only the occassional thing I have seen with references here in various posts on the DU that mentioned his name regarding voting fraud. I remember some where hearing (I think it was on Randi Rhodes' show) that he had run for Congress in Florida?
Anyway, tonite on CSPAN-2 I was watching the hearings and the very last person from the public for commentary and questions for the panel was a wild-eyed guy with a t-shirt and blazer on and ranting about having gone to the FBI with his info on voter fraud. Is this the same guy?
If so, I have to confess that even if what he claims to be the case is true (which I haven't doubted), I will say that he didn't come across as very stable or credible. I'm sure that standing up there in front of a committee (especially when your pissed for good reason) is not an easy thing to do, but you would think someone who would have potentially become an elected representative in Congress could come across more professionally and stable. Anyway, I don't think it was him, but I was curious if anyone else had watched this and if it was him, (or if it wasn't) what is his story?

While I did not see it, let's just say, for purposes of discussion, that it was Jeff Fisher. Now, let's say you were in Jeff's shoes. You have what you sincerely feel is evidence of massive voter fraud and hacking. Let's also say that you were being ignored by the media and the authorities.
Wouldn't you come off a bit agitated too?

Jeff has been sounding a bit off the deep end since he started his campaign. He was not running in my district, but in one very close by so I followed his race fairly closely.
Mind you, this doesn't mean that I know he's wrong. Every word he says may be true. I'm just saying that he has always seemed a bit like a crackpot whose tin-foil hat is 2 sizes too small.

5. Precisely my point-he could be speaking 100% truth, but if he comes across |
|
as anybody whose hat is a little too small or not credible, then the message gets lost.
I had no idea who he was and as I listened to him, I thought "what a nutcase" (and mind you - I am someone who was a poll monitor in Ohio and I believe without a doubt that there was fraud in this election so this subject is very important and very real to me). But I want this cause to be taken seriously and not ignored. I want it to be investigated...I want the truth to come out. But if we have a window of opportunity to get the message out, I don't want the public who needs to be educated (keep in mind most Americans watch TV, they don't read) about this topic to be turned off by thinking its just a bunch of leftie nut cases who wear tinfoil hats and talk to themselves and claim fraud....
Sorry, but if that was Jeff Fisher, I wasn't impressed - and if he's got something, I want to see it and because of the way he came across to me, I will admit, I have credibility questions about Fisher...
This is just the sad reality of this situation...that's why I posted this, because I was concerned about the cause and the "messaging"...hearing that this was Fisher doesn't give me comfort...it makes me nervous....

Some of our messengers may be tainting the message - I know nothing about Fisher, but we've already seen problems concerning BBV. If Fisher has concrete evidence of voter fraud, he better come up with it real quick.
Ohio, though, is another story.

3. Absolutely if I had evidence of massive voter fraud, hacking etc. would I |
|
be agitated....
But, if I had the opportunity to:
1) Speak on National Television about the issue & get the word out 2) Speak to a panel of elected congressional representatives who were on my side (people like Conyers etc. who are clearly doing a lot to further the cause and started by even holding the hearings in the first place)
Then, I would have made all efforts to try and atleast look the part of being credible and while I might be "agitated" because of the serious nature of the discussion, I wouldn't have been getting angry at Conyers...that's shooting the messenger...
Conyers was polite and asked him for the info that he claimed to have given to the FBI...Fisher (if it was him) seemed to hesitate and kept on ranting...Conyers repeated himself and offered him the opportunity to meet in private with the committee's lawyer...Fisher still seemed to hesitate and not really pay attention...Finally, Congressman Barney Frank had to politely and firmly ask Fisher to stop talking/ranting for the sake of the hearing.
I don't know if it was this guy either...but as someone who used to be in the marketing world and who understands how things play publicly in the minds of people (in this case, joe public watching this) this guy didn't come across too credible and if he is going to be the one getting out the news that needs to get out, he needs to be a better spokesperson....
Given how some of the "spokespeople" for the voting fraud cause seem to be of questionable credibility these days (ie. Bev) its all the more important that in the world of the public message, that its conveyed and delivered correctly...and in the way that wins over support...

4. Fisher's an interesting character... and yes, that was him |
|
He got creamed in both of the elections he's run in. Other than that I do not know very much. I suppose my question is, if he's got evidence why not just release it?
