I'm a little disappointed Kerik withdrew before his confirmation hearing
It's not because I wanted him in office. Understand that now. The man may have been the most evil choice of security chief since Heinrich Himmler.

No, scratch that. Himmler wasn't that bad compared to Kerik.

I was waiting for the two-week smackdown the Senate would put on this man.

We know about the Taser contract.
We know about the Saudis.
And Dyncorp. The Korea incident. The Hay Street finger-snapping.
The Rikers Island Cigarette Scandal.
His high school attendance record.

There are a lot of things WE don't know about but a Senator who really wanted to put the smackdown on Bush for some reason or another could find easily.

The networks were probably drooling over the opportunity to run this shithead's "confirmation" hearing (okay, confirmation that the last thing we'd ever do is approve your sorry ass for a job with more responsibility than picking up the dog turds from the sidewalk in front of the Smithsonian). Imagine! A confirmation hearing that people really watch! Jerry Springer, eat yer heart out!

And now it won't happen.

Folks, does this "nanny problem" claim sound like something they just pulled out of their asses? They can't say "we found out his wife has a burka" or "we found the swastika armband and 'Gott Mit Uns' belt buckle in a shadowbox on his wall" so they have to go with something that has been proven to work quick to unload embarrassing nominees.

1. "Himmler wasnt that bad compared to Kerik".

Ok, you want to rethink that a little bit? Think about what you are saying. Can't they be equally bad at the very worst?

2. No, I think Kerik is worse
Everyone knew Heinrich Himmler was a Nazi. Our liberal press has had some success in covering up the same fact about Kerik.

3. Well, I'm not into moral relativism.
Let's just say that Himmler was BAD. Sorry if I hijacked your thread.

4. Himmler--BAD? Perish the thought!
Come now, tx_dem, everyone knows Hitler only hired people who loved puppies and hated mean things.

5. It was a surprising move and probably done
by the man himself. If the white house found out everything about the man after bush nominated him, I would think they would want confirmation hearings to bring it all out. Then when the Dems cried foul, the poor conservatives would cry about how evil liberals hold appointments up and obstruct progress and the man would be a martyr. Witness, bush deserts his military unit to avoid a drug test but Senator Kerry is crucified for taking shrapnel for his country and Dan Rather is tarred and feathered by those who have no use for the Constitution. They are very good at doing evil. Its as if they go to school for it!!?!

6. Damage control , Rove style
Dubbie had to get Kerik out quick, to avoid the bright light of investigation.
Sending out a decoy flare (nanny) as an innocuous diversion.
