The good die young
I know this has probably been discussed before, but I can't seem to find it. And I'm not suggesting it is time to reach for any tin foil or hat forms.

Over the years many of a political stripe similar to ours have met untimely, unexpected, and tragic ends. The more notable ones include, in a quick listing, JFK, MLK, RFK, Paul Wellstone, JFK, Jr., John Lennon, and no doubt more. But these are the oens who come to mind immediately.

I can't, however, come up with even one name on the other side. Can anyone add to the lists for either side?

Joplin was probably the most conservative of the bunch, but nowhere near as conservative as you, I'm betting.

2. Well St. Ronnie was shot...
but it only made him stronger, so go figure.

Plus they can kill RFK but George Wallace survived, again go figure...it's always our heroes that get cut down in their prime

4. Technically...
... Lincoln was a Republican (although one can clearly make the case that he didn't resemble in any way the breed of Republican today).

James Garfield was also a Republican, and was assassinated only six months into his term as president.

John Heinz died rather early in life (plane crash).

John Tower died unexpectedly (plane crash).

Ronald Reagan certainly would have died if John Hinckley had been a better shot.

5. Sleazeballs don't like it when decent people get in their way.
It's not a conspiracy, just a fact.

Nutballs like Chapman and Hinckley also kill/try to kill people (like Squeaky Fromme who tried to kill Ford.)

Rich sleazeballs pay others to do their dirty work.

I don't claim to know which of those deaths are done by nutballs, and which were paid nutballs, sleazeballs, or accidents.

But it's NOT a coincidence that people who work to prevent evil from prevailing are often cut down by that same evil.
