Graham: "the self-confidence to take a chance" A tribute on retirement.
I wish the whole country could see what a wonderful tribute our paper has for Bob Graham today. Covers many pages, wonderful pictures. Here are a couple of the more important statements:

http://www.theledger.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20041211/NEWS/412110391/1039

SNIP...""The most ineffective people that I've known in politics were those who felt they had to hold the job and were prepared to make whatever compromises were necessary to achieve that goal," he said in a recent interview. "And the happiest, most effective people are those who have enough self-confidence that they're willing to take a chance."

SNIP.."Graham's biggest regret is failing to persuade his colleagues that invading Iraq would hurt the war on terrorism...."

Much more.
