Poll: How many Americans can identify...
the president of the US? The Vice President?

There was a poll that came out a while ago and I saw it on DU. It said like only 60% of Americans could identify the pres, 30% the VP, only 80% knew we had 50 states, stuff like that. Anybody have this poll lying around or know where I can find it? I have a bet with my buddy and a lot is riding on this. Thanks!

1. I don't have the poll. But I'm living with a living example.

I am living with a member of the 20% that don't know we have 50 states. He WON'T learn that there are 50 states. I tell him and then the next time it comes up he says 52 states again. :dunce:.

He also asked me the other day if the election meant that Bush was going to be President for another 4 yrs or are we going to vote again. (and he wasn't referring to fraud or recounts either, he is just utterly clueless.)

He is just so A-Political. I tried with him and gave up. I didn't even encourage him to register to vote, since Massachusetts isn't a swing state anyway. He is a Texan and a few times after he drank a half a 30 pack of Bud (in 4 hrs.) he mentioned that he was going to vote for Bush. When he is sober he hates Bush.

Are you really in China?
