I was looking at issues2000.org and the vote than Ron Paul led to withdraw from the WTO. Seems there were a lot more Republicans than Democrats who wanted to withdraw from the WTO
Now, I know the majority of congress voted to stay in the WTO, but one would think that the Democrats would more likely support it than the Republicans

This insane hysteria about both national and international regulatory organizations is very telling about who the pubbies really are. The mentality is that of a 14 year old boy whose voice has depened and who is now taller than his mother. Hunh. Nobody's gonna tell them what to do any more!
Now, I'm not crazy about that corporate cartel known as the WTO, but it does seek to regulate unfair trade practices by entire nations, which is why the pubbies have their shorts in a knot. The regulation is wimpy and late, but it's there, and that outrages the adolescent sense of individuality.
Expect to see more of this stuff as more and more countries turn to sanctions to try to rein in Idiot's imperial ambition. The more they try to regulate, the more he'll try to isolate.
It's going to be a very interesting four years.
