Anyone rememeber the al qa qa munitions dump?
Reach back into the fog of the election.... What's so funny about this story is that not only was every word of the article true, but it was the tip of the iceberg in terms of the various materials (nuclear, medical/ diseases) that were looted. I called a cuople of radio shows inculding the Dennis prager show and asked them about it recently. Boy were they bobbing and weaving. This story was claimed by some on the right to be THE END of the NY Times. I think CBS news was in there somewhere too.

Remember the Russian troops who wen there before the war and got all the IAEA stuff and brought it to Syria? hahaha. It's funny, the moment this story was proven true by the video footage from that news team, it died.

Wasn't the whole purpose of the war to keep this stuff from getting into the hands of terrorists?????????????

In a word, NO. That, along with liberating the Iraqi's and making Iraq 'safe for Democracy' is what we were TOLD, sure 'nuff. But truth telling is a relative thing with this cabal; they are too busy making up their own reality.

Welcome to DU.

2. Who cares?
That's so two months ago...

What difference does it make?

BUSH won, and that's all that really matters now.
He's got one of them there MANDATES.
He can do what he wants, and he doesn't need some nosy commie liberal askin' stupid questions.
Just shut up and do as your told.

Who gives a shit about some stupid ammunition anyway.
Were killin all those A-rab fuckers over there, and then we're gonna get them gays and lesbians, and those sluts gettin' all those abortions.

BUSH is born again man... he was picked by GOD you stupid commie bastard. So shut the fuck up or else!

Sadly, that's where I think we are at right now.
We are so stupid and blind to what's happening and the press is willing to shovel this crap up 24X7.

You are so right Lester but when I try to bring this up I get a response back similar to my own hyped up version above.

I'm in Missouri and it's rough here for a progressive.

But you are dead on.
What happened and why are we not hearing about it?
People should be thrown out of office, and into jail over this.

4. Oh, they FOUND all that stuff
Whilst reaming Falluja they found all those caches of weapons hidden in the mosques and the private residences. MSM TV 'News' equated that stuff with the Al Qaqa looting, proving the righteousness of the Falluja raid.
Anybody else notice the similarities between Spanish and Arabic? F'r instance Alhambra and El Hambre mean 'The Hungry One'
and Caca means 'Crap'

I can't help but shaking my head whenever they show a cache of insurgents' weapons they round up, some from the citizens volunteering them before the raid, some after the slaughter = a pile of worn out Saturday Night Specials, rusty old flintlock and wheellocks, blunderbusses and Zip Guns.

They keep the good stuff for making roadside bombs

Yes, the story died and in general the truth died. Truth was the first casualty of the BushCo era.

6. so the goods are in Syria?
due to Russians?

Missed that part of the story.... sounds like what some (wolfie) tried to push on the early days of the invasion in an effort to push the conflict to include Syria (ala "they moved the WMDs to Syria...")

I thought much of the munitions were still in the country... and being used - against our own. But then the story has been dropped since the election - so I could have missed some of the developments.

7. salin
your post is more profound than you may know. No, there were no russians involved. Despite what the pentagon and right wing media said for about 13 minutes

8. Missed this newest propoganda push begin to build,
thanks for calling attention to it. Now the fun part - speculating about what they are hoping to accomplish... the story had "died" so they didn't need to come up with sellable excuses... and we are too short handed to really push another front on their wars... so what are they up to? New vilification of Russia (but, why... and don't w and pooty poot (ws nickname for Putin) get along famously...) so what are they up to? Any guesses?

btw, welcome to du! :hi:
