Yes, the Associated Press, once considered the consummate professional news organization, has suffered a major setback to its credibility by regurgitating White House press releases verbatim and CLAIMING IT AS NEWS.

In spite of the White House's dismal record in telling the truth in the last four years, the Associated Press finds it unable to locate its journalistic morals or sense of objectivity.

"We just can't figure out what happened to our moral compass, our professional ethics, hell, we can't even find our old J-school books or remember the names of our professors these days! Maybe it's something in the water at the office," said a spokesman who insisted on remaining anonymous.

Several readers of Yahoo news contacted the Associated Press over an article released today, in which the White House actually released an April Fool's joke a few months early.

"We didn't know it was an April Fool's joke" said our source. "We're in the habit of simply repeating what the White House tells us to say".

On our visit to the Associated Press we found televisions blaring Fox News constantly, and the employees staring glassy-eyed at the television screens. However, all denied being influenced by the hypnotic, waving blue-and-white patterns on the edge of the screen.

"God Bless George Bush" one man muttered as he finished his coffee and threw it in the trash.
