Now I have lost respect for Susan Collins (Paula Zahn show)
How can she form her lips to defend Kerik and the Bush WH on his selection?

1. Susan Collins can't be too independant

She has a powerful postion within the party and would be mud if she strayed too far. When you listen to her, she sounds like she strains to get just the right words out. She is not use to all this attention. But you know, you need some Republicans on our side and she may as well be one of them. On the other hand, Lieberman can be thrown to the dogs, the traitor.

2. She IS a lap dog. She'll only stand up if Snowe stands with her.
It's like those two senator ladies don't dare do anything against the party without their girlfriend tagging along.

3. Poor Sue and Olympia.......Kerry Democrats stuck in a Bush
Republican body. No matter....the radical Right will be gunning for them in the next election....way too moderate. I'll bet some of the Christian fundies mount a campaign against both. And if the survive their respective primaries, the Democrats who have voted for them in the past won't make that mistake next time.

Sorry ladies....you could do the right thing and join us or you can stay and be marginalized out of political existance.
