John Stewart - absolutely tasteless tonight!
Edited on Mon Dec-13-04 11:37 PM by elf
What happened to him, doing such a bad thing about Yuschenko being poisoned. I was so turned off, never thought he can do such a bad thing.
What happened in the Ukraine it's an attack on democratie in the worst way!!!

1. Democracy? Seems more like it's our guy vs. Putin's guy.
Not sure where the democracy comes in...

9. Exactly. It's like OBL vs Bush. Different side of the same coin.

2. Comedy is not pretty because it ridicules a reality that's not pretty
Take it up with God or the dude who poisoned Yuschenko. It'll take more than one tasteless joke to bring Stewart down in my eyes.

3. Come on, you really don't believe that 'attack on democracy' line?
One guy was bankrolled by the US, the other proped up by Kremlin...what democracy?

4. I also thought it was in poor taste.
...but I'm willing to cut Jon a little slack.

It was Jon's unforgettable Smackdown of Crossfire that freed me from a frustrating addiction to that useless and disappointing program.

6. I haven't watched Crossfire since that day either
I haven't watched much but CSpan concerning news and politics, and even CSpan seems to be listing right, right now....

I tried watching Daily Show the day after election, but nothing was funny. I may try again, but I am still not laughing much about the state of the world, esp our country. (even with Jon Stewart)

7. Dickie Flatt?
Are you the same Dickie Flatt that Phil Graham used to drag around with him like a sports mascot?
