I know we all have more than enough giving opportunities this time of year. But this was sent out to everyone in a friend of mines Company and I thought it was worthwhile.

So please consider the following:

The number ONE request at Walter Reed hospital is phone cards. The government doesn't pay long distance phone charges and these wounded soldiers are rationing their calls home.

Many will be there throughout the holidays. Really support our troops --Send phone cards of any amount to:

They say they need an "endless" supply of these -- any amount even $5 is greatly appreciated.

Walmart has good prices on AT&T cards, Sams Club is even better, if you are a member.

I pasted this from an e-mail recieved froma friend. I am dear friends with this soilder and several in his friends.

I don't care where anyone gets the damn phone card.

3. I support the Fischer House at Landstuhl

where families of wounded soldiers come, should their son/daugher have to remain at Landstuhl for a longer period than anticipated.

I have seen the ATT internet sites at Ramstein AB, and they are a rip-off. It's really a sad commentary that AT & T would carpetbag our deployed/wounded soldiers, passing up a golden opportunity to showcase some compassion and generosity.

A lot of these families have so little money. The Fischer House makes for a great donation during the holidays, for memorial contributions, and so forth. With our neverending war, we will always need the Landstuhl Fischer House.
