Hey, what's everyone so down about Iraq for?

Look at this poll! Look how cynical people are becoming! Why are a majority of Americans now saying our great democratic experiment isn't going to take hold in Iraq? How can they be so pessimistic to conclude that Iraqis aren't welcoming American-style democratic reforms with open arms?

Oh, yeah. That stuff.

1. Pity they didn't feel so despondent BEFORE the election.

4. "They" did.
And "they" didn't vote for either Kerry or Bush. (I don't think "they" voted at all.)

2. I am down because all this negative opinion does not translate to leaving
nor is it resulting in a meaningful buildup of anti-Republicanism in the voting public.

5. What negative opinion?
It's not like Kerry was offering much of a different alternative in dealing with Iraq.

3. So? They're stuck with the president they were so positive
about last month. Too bad they didn't come to their senses earlier.
