Where did I read that?

If we start forcing reporters to reveal sources, then we might as well stop reading newspapers.

Novak did nothing illegal, and should therefore not be jailed. Whomever leaked Plame to Novak should be tried for treason, but unless Novak cracks, we'll likely never know who that should be.

11. Listening to On the Media this past weekend

one of the people commenting on this said the reason he is not in jail is because he already turned in his source. They are trying to get confirmation from a second journalist to proceed, otherwise, there is no reason not to arrest him.

Interesting point made about the case and journalists sources...in many cases when a journalist refuses to reveal a source, it is because the person is revealing a crime and doesn't want to be implicated or subject to revenge. In this case, the actual revelation was itself a crime (outing a CIA agent), which shouldn't fall under confidentiality. Interesting take I thought.
