to Rumsfeld as a way to protect his "legacy" at the end of 2008?

I'm surprised that Cheney hasn't come to Don's rescue/ I always thought that Cheney would eventually side with Rumsfeld over * since Rumsfeld bascially made Cheney who he is today during their days in the Nixon/Ford administrations.

3. I seriously wouldn't be surprised if Rumsfeld had suddenly dissapeared

shortly after he leaves the DOD. He knows too much, and is probably too much a liability for * and Dick. Its obvious to me that they don't trust him now, and he's probably sleeping with his 9mm under his pillow these days.

4. Time for another debacle.

That's how this administration works. Along comes a new debacle, and the old one is forgotten. Anyone who brings up old debacles "can't get over it", or is a conspiracy nutcase, or just plain hates America.

And the news rolls over and accepts it. And the brainwashed masses don't complain. And the few objecting journalists get retired, one by one.
