DU Taboo
Filthy language that could make a sailor blush is rampant here.
Accusations about white Christian behavior and beliefs as a group is fine.
But make a mention or depiction of black American beliefs or behavior as a group in parody or in facts, and they are labeled racist and immediately ex sponged.

IMHO
I can even buy into the argument that ALL white Americans are racist by virtue of the fact they grew within a system of white privilege.

However I can not buy into the accusation that initiating a discussion that may compare or contrast black American politics and behavior is automatically driven by ugly racism.

I do not see any fear of a race war in the Democratic party.
I do see a knee jerk reaction to the word black.

The current fever of political incorrectness regarding this and other taboos has certainly strangled vital understanding in our country with the dismissive wave of the hand and decree of "do not go there".

It is your right to ignore, alert and delete but I implore you to at least think twice about your own predjudice in doing so.

1. umm... yeah, sorta
denigrating the dominant race/culture/sex/orientation/religion is a worthy pursuit. Picking on the downtrodden isn't.

6. one should not pick on any minority
An attitude like that is one in which Bill Cosby finds reprehensible but for reasons underscored by open progressive respondsibility.
Perhaps it depends on who is picking on the definition of picking on.

4. I'm sorry but your OP makes no sense
Yes, whites benefit by white privilege and there isn't anything bigoted about saying that is a SYSTEMIC INSTITUTIONAL problem even if every white person may not CLAIM white privilege but gets stuck with the consequences of being white in a society that guarantees white privilege via INSTITUTIONAL bias.

OTOH, when you wish to discuss African Americans, you DO need to consider whether the issues you are discussing are INSTITUTIONALLY driven to represent them or whether YOUR ISSUES are driven by YOUR biases. If you can't discuss the issues without them being DRIVEN by your biases, then that isn't our fault.

I feel as though you are putting the onus on me because you can't seem to discuss an issue without your biases being brought to light for you.
