9. Try Right Nation
www.rightnation.com They have a policy where you can register as a guest liberal. I think you have to email them for that kind of membership, but it gives you the benefits without having to donate. You will be required to observe reasonable rules: No name calling posts, no flame bait, etc. They enjoy having liberals post that they can argue with.

10. Don't Do It
Unless you feel like giving yourself a migraine and a massive heart attack, don't do it.

Like their Master (Bush), many of these conservatives are so wedded to their own ideas, even in the face of overwhelming evidence that tells them otherwise.

They do not know how to reason and debate, and the rhetoric they use is so hateful and evil.

Don't even waste your time. Value your sanity.

15. agreed...
I'm tired of "education campaigns" for right-wingers....only LIFE will persuade them.

Let America sink even lower...only that will teach them.

I got an idea on how to spend your time...put on Street Fighter...bash a few heads electronically...:)

17. Stimulate you mind, don't numb it
Arguing with a conservative is unproductive. The discussion will quickly devolve into an exchange of ad hominem attacks, and in the end you only boost you sense of moral superiority and/or outrage. What's the point?

On the other hand, debating with someone here often benefits all involved. Even though we don't all agree on everything, we for the most part have shared values and not too divergent perspectives on things. So if you make an argument here, the rebuttal is much more likely to make you think about the issue deeper. (Versus a rebuttal from a neocon which would only make you roll your eyes.)

You only have so many minutes on this planet. Don't waste 'em.

Just reading their lockstep bilge is enough to send one off to bed feeling ill.

22. You don't join for the hard core... you join for the moderates
And, yes, there are some and they can be swayed. Perhaps they'll never bend all the way to voting democrat, but I know a lot of republicans who couldn't stomach voting for * in November.
