New Group request-

How about a DU group for soldiers and their families serving abroad? My husband is about to deploy to Iraq and I'd like to see those of us in that situation have some support here at DU.

There are no soldiers in my immediate family but I have friends who have been deployed to Iraq. I'm sure there are many on DU that would support this new forum you're proposing.

I'm not big on such things, but the goodhearted folks on this
board with serices people abroad, deserve a group.

It would, as well, keep errant soldiers from poppping in to GD
with strange comments.... as they only had time to pop in and
write 1 thing... at least there will be place that welcomes them,
where their concerns are the dominant flavour.
