Bill Clinton, the Country Boy vs Al Gore, the City Boy ? |
|
Bill Clinton, the country boy, born and raised in Arkansas, ran for office and won as a man of the common people. He even identified with the people in the South. When he got out of office, he moved to NYC.
Al Gore, on the other hand, was born in Tennessee but raised mostly in Washington, DC. He won his race as a Senator from Tennessee but when he ran for President, he was portrayed as the "city boy". When he got out of office, he moved back to the country to Tennessee. What does it mean? Probably nothing.

Just one of our many divisions. As a city kid, I have to say I'm tired of country folk believing there's something intrinsically immoral or un-American about wanting to live in a city. Bryant Check it out --> http://politicalcomment.blogspot.com
