2. This fellow should be the first to be testing for mental fitness
You know that's what would happen if a Pagan judge wore a robe with one of our religious symbols on it. Viva le New Freedome Commission!

3. I will bet you that this judge is a fundamentalist and that his preacher
doesnt have the 10 commandments emb. on a robe to wear while preaching, that his church doesn't have a copy of the 10 Com. displayed in their sanctuary and that he doesn't have a copy of the 10 c. on display in his house...

He is a hypocrit...wearing his religion so that he doesn't have to actually live it...

black robes without markings. I don't find this particular offensive, myself. I think it does breeze on by that pesky church/state line and should be removed. Now, if he had a Penzoil decal and a Viagra patch attached to his robe, then we got some real problems :).

5. I find it offensive.
If he wore a small cross, I wouldn't care. But to put the commandments on his official uniform itself is basically saying he's respresenting the church in his official capacity.

6. Many Jurisdictions don't have a specific rule on robes
regarding color or adornment. This may cause that to change. I know a Judge who wears a Red Robe, he is probably a KU fan since he is in Kansas.
Justice Rehnquist wears a robe with gold braiding that looks very nice. It makes the robe look spiffy. Since the 2 ladies on the USSC wear robes that show fancy collars of their blouses etc. he thought plain black was boring.

7. I wanna see a judge wearing an Exxon logo.
Or Microsoft. Or a quote from the Koran.

In fact, I think all the judges in Alabama should run right out and get that embroidery done.

How about an embroidered ad for Hustler?
