O'Reilly=Crazy
I think Vibrator Bill has finally achieved batshit insane status.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,141602,00.html

"Of course, the most dangerous organization in the country, the ACLU, applauds the ruling, saying, "We don't think the state should be in the position of encouraging parents to act surreptitiously and eavesdrop on their children."

So don't try to find out what your kids are up to on the computer or on the telephone. Children must have privacy in these matters, so 14-year- old girls can deal with 17-year-old criminals.

Now why is this happening? As with the Christmas controversy, which I explain in my column this week on billoreilly.com, there's much more to this than just a legal decision. If you study all state dominated societies from the Soviet Union, to Nazi Germany, to Red China to Cuba, you will see those governments try to diminish parental power because it's easier to mold young minds when state-sanctioned values don't compete with traditional parenting.

Public schooling in America is now devoid of any moralizing or spiritual emphasis. The Pledge of Allegiance being the last holdout. So if the progressives can succeed in eroding parental influence at home, it becomes much easier to influence American children to embrace a secular point of view. That's what's going on here."

you think if there was ANYONE in this country who would object to the monitoring of phone conversations it would be Bildo.

Cause you never know when someone is recording while you are masturbating over the phone.

1. Bill O'dumdum is obviously fighting urges
In his one act of moral decency, he is trying to protect the 14-year old girls from guys like himself.

9. I have seen emails about the ACLU
They are trying to discredit and spread lies about the ACLU. Especially with the religious crowd. I am not sure why they have the ACLU so much, but they are going after it now.

3. Is there any reliable source on this matter?
I mean is it true the mom wasn't allowed to testify against her child because she overheard the phone conversation? I'm not about to believe anything from Fox, so... It sounds like they're leaving out a giant part of the story?

6. I heard that yesterday
Not sure of the facts, but as "Bill tells it"
17 year old criminal, beats some elderly folks and rob them, then brags over the phone to 14 yr old girlfriend. Mother evesdrops on conversation due to daughter being "out of control"
Mom testifies against boyfriend.
Judge, backed by ACLU throws out testimony because boyfriend did not give consent to evesdrop.

Since Bill is being Bill, I assume much of the case was lost in translation

7. As I understand it...
Information obtained by parental eavesdropping is not admissable in court. In that specific case, it involved a confession to a crime made by the other party to the conversation -- and the other party was no relation whatsoever to the person who was listening in. Under those circumstances, I fully agree with the courts ruling. When I place a telephone call to an individual (even if that individual is a minor), I have a reasonable expectation of privacy in my conversation. No parent should be allowed to do what would otherwise require a cop to obtain a court order.

5. I thought that people who sexually harass others...
would be among the most dangerous people? Then again, paying off the potential victim, I guess, absolves oneself of any guilt or punishment in Bill's foggy mind.

Bill, you're a fucking hypocrite. You're mentally ill too.

8. I saw that show....A 14yr old was talking to a 17yr old suspected felon
The mother was listening in.
She heard the kid admit his crime, then she turned him in AFTER she learned of a reward.

BO spun this into "protecting her daughter" by eavesdropping.
The boy's atty explained that the law protected people from all forms of eavesdropping and recording of land and wireless phone calls....Tactics that O'Reilly seems to endorse in his efforts to undermine the ACLU.

"The most dangerous organization in the country".....What an asshole.

10. WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN?!
Well it's an issue of a kid not spending her time being beaten by their father and nuns like he was, so naturally she's :out of control." It's strange to see how he continues the cycle of abuse handed down to him.

In the Oh Really Factor FAIR mentions he stated kids don't have 1st Amendment Rights in school, which is false.

His conspiracy theory about the ACLU trying to erode parental right because they want to create a totalitarian state. Batshit!

Don't want to be one either.

Strangely I'm insulted when someone tells me how to raise my non-existent kids.

14. Raised three boys...The "baby's" 28. And 7 grandchildren
I found out early enough that children usually make their own lifestyle decisions independant of parents' wishes.

Love 'em, advise 'em, and always be there when they stumble.
I myself grew up in a very trusting, permissive, democratic family.

Bill O'reilly has mentioned that he moniters his own kids VERY closely, and if they screw up....They're off to military school.
.....Good luck Bill.

16. I wish well for O'Reilly's kids
God knows it can't be easy having an authoritarian egomaniac as a father.

I do hope it's in a way that stings him in the ass. Like his daughter becoming a bohemian, starting an advocacy group to legalize pot and founding a polyamourous commune. I'd love the irony of a celeb parent whose kids aren't even in school yet having his advice blow up in his face. Teach him to make himself out to be the authoritarian father figure of "the folks"

Anyway I doubt his trophy wife will be around much longer. She can take him to the cleaners with all the ammunition Macris gave her.

12. Funny
"So if the progressives can succeed in eroding parental influence at home"

"If you study all state dominated societies from the Soviet Union, to Nazi Germany, to Red China to Cuba, you will see those governments try to diminish parental power because it's easier to mold young minds when state-sanctioned values don't compete with traditional parenting"

Who is it that is trying to eliminate the middle class? Making both parents work more hours, for less pay, leaving less and less time for parenting? Somehow I doubt it's Bill's favorite people, the evil, dreaded s...e...c...u...l...a...r...i...s...t...s. Boo!

And O'Reilly, prior to the invasion of Iraq, was on TV, and proclaimed that anyone who at that point was against the war, would be considered an "enemy of the state" by Mr. O'Reilly. So it sounds as if O'Reilly is a part of the state, and not an independent journalist. Orwell would be proud.
