I Just Went Off over on Dr. Weil's Board |
|
and I don't think I'm sorry.
Here we are - the liberal left. The party without moral values.
I post here about cutting the Federal Programs for the poor, ill, elderly and almost everyone comes back and says "whoa, that's wrong. Where are our priorities?"
Over there its just a bunch of wierd logic explaning why it does no good to care about those less fortunate. Gotta cut that deficit! War has nothing to do with the mess we are in! And on and on.
Sorry - just venting.

Got any examples of why "it does no good to care about the less fortunate"?
That sounds like some people are getting a BUTTLOAD of Bad Karma with their Integrative Medicine...
I have a hunch you might be coming across a strata of wealthy "liberals". They're all interested in healthy living and just ADORE Linda McCartney frozen dinners, but they Got Theirs, screw everyone else. The kind who think nothing of dropping $4500 for a 2-day seminar with some Plastic Medicine Man, or spend 10 grand to get in the "inner circle" at some meet-up with the Dali Lama.
Any of those sound familiar?
on edit: that's McCartney, I should know better!

2. Oh, you are probably right. |
|
It just made me mad. I don't like smart-aleck people to begin with. And the attitude is so crass.
It seems like it must be pretty easy to justify things to yourself if you really want to.
I told un just to go buy themselves Xmas presents for themselves if that is what makes them happy. (No, I really didn't say that. But that would have been good.)

7. You should have said it. |
|
It's true -- it's so easy to justify selfishness.
Some people spend all day doing it.
But in the end, if someone is suffering and you're turning a blind eye to it, you're not in the right. You just aren't.

3. Their shame will be their's alone. |

You did the right thing. Let them wallow in their greed and acquisitiveness. When the party is over it will be over for them as well.

4. I don't want to be like that. |
|
But the capacity for humans to be stupid just amazes me some times.

5. If stupidity and swinishness... |

Were a source of energy, we could burn up the sun with it.
As Dr. Hunter S. Thompson once wrote: "We live in The Age of Swine".

6. Ha! That's funny. It'll teach Dr. Weil & Co. not to meddle in politics! |
|
He needs to stick to herbs and vitamins.

8. I'm not sure he even owns that board any more. |
|
And I have been posting there for a long time. But there are some people that could drive a saint to commit murder.
There is one guy over there that gets off on making fun of every post. He thinks he is very funny. And there are a couple of the ultra right people. Funny, they are the most rigid of anyone. And there are just some good ole regular Democrats.
