Bryan, Weaver, or Stevenson, which would have been best president?

Bryan, Weaver, or Stevenson, which would have been best president?

All were liberals from way back when who never made it to the presidency.

For me, it was William Jennings Bryan. He was way ahead of his time, and deserved the term "Great Commoner"

Weaver, although not a Democrat, would have fit well being one. I think he would have made a great president too

Stevenson would have been OK, but as to whether he could have contained the Soviet threat as well as Eisenhower, we may never know.

His 'free silver' idea was brilliant, IMHO, and would have helped out the working poor considerably.

4. Stevenson, I suspect.
Not only was he brilliant, but he understood how to delegate power and ask for advice. He was probably the best governor Illinois ever had, and it's had some damned fine ones.
