Collecting Child Support Pymts from Marines

I hope someone can direct me on how to get the US Marines to acknowledge Court ordered child support payments. My grandson's father enlisted in the Marines in February of 2004 and we gave the recruiting officer copies of the court order for child support. My daughter never married him and they are not on speaking terms. In fact, they never even lived together. We finally got an address through calling the Marines about 20 times, but now we're not sure if it's correct or if they were just feeding us BS. Our child support enforcement agency then sent the papers to the address, to the attention of his commanding officer, but we still haven't heard anything.

Does anyone know how to get them to start payments? My daughter is married to an ex Army vet, but the job he has now only pays $10.00 an hour and they're having a terrible time. I thought the military didn't shirk their duties, but they sure as hell are ignoring court orders.

What can I do to help her get the child support payments? I thought of contacting our Congressman, but they're probably not going to do anything until after the holidays. The child support is now in felony status. Please if someone knows how to get around this bureaucratic bs, please let me know.

1. You probably need to garnish his wages

It generally isn't that hard, but it does require another court document (which she should be able to do herself). Once she's filed the order of garnishment - send a copy to:

Talked to a representative at the toll free number provided on the site you referred and found out child support payments should start on January 1st. They have the court orders and everything seems to be in order.
