Poll question: TRUE OR FALSE? US is now officially the world's richest 3rd world nation?
Edited on Fri Dec-17-04 12:20 AM by billbuckhead
Or is it world's most powerful third world nation? Or will it be when they do away with social security? Will they ever stop illegal immigration? Will we ever get a single payer health system? Why do we have such a high crime rate and so many people in jail even though we execute more than any other first world nation and have such promiscuous gun laws? Why is the value of our money collapsing? Why are our elections so disputed? Why do we have such bad candidates? Why is the military going to march in front of the innauguration in such a big way?

1. How can a True or False question
have an Yes / No answer?

It is either TRUE or FALSE!!!

US is one of the poorest nations in the world today, in terms of its enormous debt!!

How can a country living off debt be considered rich?

If I borrowed a million dollares, would I be rich? No way - I would be debtor like a third world country!!!

Soon US will be borrowing money to service that debt. And the US will be selling off its few assets to manage its debt. Already the Japanese companies bought over much of the valuable assets of the US during the Reagan era - now it is going to be the Chinese!!

I know a few southamerican americans and they point this out all the time. I don't get it. Americans moving to Canada and Berlin. Big shots moving their money out of the country.

4. We are the world's greatest debtor nation...
And our rich-poor disparity is reaching third-world proportions, so yes.
