Why can't we come up with a single all-inclusive symbol representing the

diverse cultural/religious makeup of this country and display THAT. Just one symbol that can wrap up everyone's religious/spiritual belief or lack of it and stick that in a public place and be done with all the bickering? Just like one big symbol that represents diversity?

Ah God forbid. The fundies would be beside themselves I guess.

that so many people have become ashamed to be associated with those who use the flag as a symbol of jingoistic pride...the only way it can effectively be stolen back is to change what it stands for now back into what it used to stand for...and THAT, my friend, is no small order...look at the swastika...it was originally a hindu symbol...but now it has been forever corrupted...
