2. Let's think about this:
We can vote for someone who has a chance of being elected that is somewhat close to our ideals or we can vote for someone who is a little closer to our ideals but has no chance of winning at all thereby ensuring victory for someone who is not at all in touch with our ideals.

This is a no-brainer. Sorry, but unless we ALL shift to a new party of our making or change the system to be more amicable to third parties, we don't have much choice.

9. It's Democracy For America
The grassroots organization that arose like a phoenix from the ashes of the Dean campaign.

5. I hope he gets it
But Dean is not the end all be all of Democratic Solutions--he's a good guy, and I think his heart is in the right place, plus he's smart and committed--but unless they nominate Dick Morris or Karl Rove, it probably won't affect me too much.

Actually if Al From got it I'd be pissed. Might go join that "give everybody a cheeseburger" party.

8. You forgot "Other"
If Dean doesn't get the nod, I will wait to see what the new head does, but I will also work hard with the Dem party at the local level, where the filthy fingers of corporate corruption haven't yet grasped the reins.

Locally, working with fellow liberals, progressives and, yes, greens who are members of the party, we can force the party leadership back into our own hands again and towards a more forceful and provocative set of goals.

10. Other: Wait to see what the new head does and stop giving money
until I'm convinced the DNC is interested in standing up for Democratic ideals again.
