Yes we live in a country that has, so far, protected wild animals from the inconvenience of drilling for oil in their neighborhood. On the other hand, our government seems to think waging war against an oil rich sovereign nation on the other side of the planet is necessary.

What message must this little factoid send to the Muslims of the world?
