3. Conservative he is, but
he is not a Zell Miller Democrat.

Damn, I gotta stop using that oxymoron.

6. EVERYbody thinks rummy should step down these days
It's the new bandwagon, along with Kerik. Not a good judge of position.

Actually, if somebody DOESN'T think rummy should go, or at least isn't very dissatisfied with him, you can bet that they're staunch Bushbots.

2. DLC/Blue Dog Democrat/DINO
Another conservative from a conservative state, just what the party doesn't need.

Ho Hum.

5. I just checked ACLU and PIRG scorecards for this session....
Bayh got a 56% and 59% respectively. To put it in context, almost every Republican got 0% (from a quick scan).

One thing of note...he voted against the Federal Marriage Amendment.

Bottom line: I would rather have him than the Republican that Indiana would surely elect in his place.

9. that is for darn sure
not bad ACLU scorecards actually.

Besides, don't you think some rationality would have rubbed off on him,
from his father?

7. Did you hear him going after Rummy yesterday?
MAN, this interview on NPR/All Things Considered yesterday...
he ultimately said that he thought Rummy should leave the administration, that he had no faith in the way he is running the Defense Department. etc. etc.

12. He's so useless......
He had to wait for a bunch of republicans to criticize the administration first.
