Looks like this Washington Recount is getting even closer...
Edited on Fri Dec-17-04 03:00 PM by jerryman814
I've been following the recount in this state and today Snohomish County (a county that went for Rossi) submitted their ballots - cutting Rossi's lead by a third.

The winner of the race probably won't be known until King County (over 850,000 voters and site of hundreds of disputed votes) certifies their vote, but it looks VERY promising for Gregoire at the moment!! Rossi leads Gregoire by only 74 votes (42 from the machine recount + 32 so far from the hand recount) with 36 out of 39 counties reporting, but that can soon all change with the hundreds of illegally thrown out ballots recently found...

3. it's not off... you have to look at the # of ballots changed...
If Gregoire gains more than 42 more votes MORE than Rossi, she is the winner. The total votes is off because counties such as King county have not reported yet.
