Tea time
Drinking tea not as beneficial as taking green tea supplements

A study published in the December 2004 issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (http://www.ajcn.org/) found that green tea extract supplements offered greater bioavailability of polyphenols and increase plasma antioxidant activity compared to tea consumed as a beverage. Tea has been found to be protective against cancer and other diseases, and green tea polyphenols are taken in supplement form by many individuals to obtain their antioxidant and benefits.

4. I'll stick to the real thing
I don't like taking a bunch of pills. Just taking a vitamin in the morning is enough to gag me.

Tea - yum!

The health benefits of green tea are finding their way into gum, mints, skin cream and other products with the help of a Medical College of Georgia cell biologist.

Dr. Stephen Hsu, a researcher in the MCG Schools of Dentistry and Graduate Studies whose work has revolutionized the understanding of green tea's healing and preventive properties, recently began an arrangement with New Jersey-based CCA Industries, Inc. to make those properties readily available in everyday products. The first of these products, Mega-T Green Tea Chewing Gum, is on store shelves now. Each piece of the mint-flavored, sugar-free gum equals two cups of green tea.

6. L-theanine, the 'calming' amino acid in tea
has been used in gum in Japan for decades now.

I'd rather have a warm, cozy cup of tea, myself.

Usually I have a couple of cups of coffee during the day and drink tea mostly when I'm off or home.

9. heading for my second cup of tea right now!
I like coffee also, but I have had a cold/allergy/something for about 10 days and when my head is messed up, I only want TEA. Strong, hot tea

Got this wonderful tea at Central Market...loose tea from India, in the Indian packaging..(they were out of PG Tips, my favorite, and the store helper said this was as good as PG )Well, he was right. Once I got the balance right for my teapot, anyway.

My daughter is a real tea fanatic!!!!!! She likes to try new types of tea and all the unusual flavorings, etc.
